Formed in March 2024 by Repair Acts, the Coalition aims to build capacities to reimagine material pathways throughout the city by expanding existing offerings and supporting emerging communities of professional, commercial, and volunteer repairers.

Open to new members, meetings are chaired by university and charity partners, with core activities led and developed by members. Since Sept 2024 the Coalition meets monthly at the Pervasive Media Studio, Bristol. With the first 3-4 months focusing on co-producing the Coalition's actions for the coming year (2025) and establishing precedent for how we can enhance material repair pathways in the city. Core work to date, includes hosting workshops, to develop how to create a circular economy hub in the city; working together on rethinking waste contacts; running public events as part of International Repair Day and raising awareness about sharing and repairing in the city, and strengthening the Repair Cafe network and other volunteer and skills training in the city.
