The handle was absent.

I made holes and used a threaded rod with washers and nuts. I inserted a piece of hose to make it more ergonomic and colorful.

I bought the suitcase in a thrift store very cheap but already without the handle - it was a good quality Samsonite and I had the immediate idea to make this repair when I got home. But it took three years. It's one of the suitcases I use for keeping Carnival costumes.
