The bottom of the pannier bag had split open.

Repaired by putting eyelet hole on either side of the split and lacing it up with a shoelace.

I repaired the bag so it could hold things in it and do it's one good job once again.

It's better all round if we can retain the life on an object for as long as possible. We learn skills by repairing things
