When practising quite vigorously for a concert the E string on my guitar snapped, which meant I needed to fix it quickly
The old and snapped string was removed and then the guitar was restrung and the tightened to create the correct sound
So I could resume playing my guitar
I think it is important to repair things because some objects hold sentimental value. For example, my guitar was a gift and when the string snapped I was gutted, especially knowing I was about to play in a concert. Fixing is important to repress disappointment
