Original case was slightly cracked and very gross from years of use

Original DS was completely taken apart, all the electronics were reassembled within the new clear case, it was a really difficult and stressful repair as many of the internals are very delicate, especially the ribbon cable that runs through the hinge on the left hand side. I'm very proud of it.

Mostly for fun, it's a product I've had since 2008 and repairing it brought a new sense of life into it, it didn't necessarily need repairing as it was still completely functional with the small crack, however the project was difficult, fun and very rewarding
