Gathering at the Oceanographic Base of the Oceanographic Institute of The University of São Paulo, in Ubatuba, by mardascoisas.tropixel.org/en and the lacoiousp.wordpress.com, with a focus on the Atlantic Forest watersheds. As part of the meeting, we shared work emerging from the Elemental Programme, Water conversations and the video work "They Gathered Rushes"(2024), a performative piece of media archaeology that reverse engineers how bog reed/rushes, were historically transformed into candles in the midlands of Ireland. With discussions touching of the value of such reenactment in understanding cultural ties, to watery landscapes.
