Repair Acts – Fred Paulino

Artist and co-founder of Gambiologia, Brazil Fred Paulino co-led Tales of Care and Repair (2020–21), developing Brazil’s first Repair Declaration and helping design and build the project website, which brought together more than 600 stories of everyday repair. In 2024, Gambiologia turned an old school bus into Hacklab Volante, a mobile art and workshop programme touring across Minas Gerais. In summer 2026, we joined their tour, to carry out research on their playful gambiarra style.
